Saison 7 - The Virtuose

CKnown as the «Evita of wine», Argentinean winemaker Susana Balbo earned her oenology diploma in 1981. She has since gone on to produce a wide variety of cuvées both in her own country and further afield. She recently became owner of the Dominio del Plata winery in the foothills of the Andes, in the Mendoza region where she works with her two children. She has previously brought her talent to bear at the world-famous Catena winery. She was also the first woman to be elected Argentina Wine President. Susana has been to Château d'Arsac on many occasions and, ably assisted by her friend, Bordeaux oenologist Blandine Philibert, has crafted this saison 7 like a watchful mother bringing up a child. The result is a wine in her image - utterly charming and elegant, bearing all the hallmarks of the humorous, playful, committed nature of its creator.
