Andrea Franchetti has become an iconic Winemaker, making a "cult" wine in Tuscany: Tenuta di Trinoro, where he also produces a second label: Le Cupole.

He also owns an estate called Passopisciaro on the slopes of Mount Etna where he produces some very interesting red wines made of indigenous grapes, as well as some very good white wines.

Franchetti only started his winemaking career at the beginning of the 90's. Before that he distributed wine in the USA and after he had enough, he purchased a little house in Tuscany and decided to make wine in a place where vineyards have practically never existed before.

He spent some time in Bordeaux, where he learnt to make wine, and he remains greatly influenced by Bordeaux wines.

He is an adept of quality and very low yields and usually prefers late harvests and small tanks.
